Aims & Scope

Aims:

Materials and Interfaces aims to be one of the world's premier journals for disseminating cutting-edge research in the broad domains of advanced materials and interfaces. It will cover feature, perspective and review articles, alongside original research, focusing on the design, rational synthesis, and characterization of materials and interfaces, as well as their applications across various fields such as electronics, photonics, information storage, sensing, catalysis, energy conversion, and biomedicine. It is anticipated to serve as the hub for sharing knowledge among materials scientists, chemists, physicists, engineers, as well as health and life scientists. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope:

It will include but not limit to the following topics:

  • Applications of functional materials, surfaces, and interfaces
  • Interfaces in electronic, optoelectronic, and energy conversion devices
  • Materials for and interfaces in catalysis, chemical transformation, and energy harvesting
  • Surfaces of nanostructured materials
  • Applications of self-assembled materials and surface patterning
  • Biointerfaces and interactions of cells with engineered materials/structures
  • Applications of 2D materials and heterostructures
  • Membrane materials and interfaces
  • Applications of composite and coating materials
