Aims & Scope
Aims:
Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) is a gold open-access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to disseminate high-quality research on catalytic systems and chemical technologies that align with the principles of green chemistry and the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
Scope:
The journal seeks to publish original research, critical reviews, and perspectives, encompassing experimental and theoretical studies on the design, development, and application of new catalysts, synthetic strategies, and associated processes, that support sustainable chemical manufacturing. Interdisciplinary research that spans the chemical and/or physical sciences and/or engineering is encouraged.
CSC publishes articles that focus on, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Biocatalysis
- Heterogeneous catalysis
- Homogeneous catalysis
- Electro-/ thermo- / photocatalysis
- Renewable feedstocks
- Reaction mechanisms
- Bio-derived polymers and composites
- Alternative solvents
- Process intensification
- Flow chemistry
- Unconventional catalytic reactors
- Technoeconomic analysis
- Life cycle assessment
- Biofuels
- Green hydrogen
- Environmental remediation
- Waste recycling
- Use of Earth abundant elements
